TIDE POOL – Wednesday with Michael

Hello Everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying summer.It is finally feeling hot and very much like a Hayama Summer!
Today we went to Isshiki beach and worked on balance and used some ocean equipment to practice our balance.
First we talked about core muscle strength and how to work on these building our balance.
While clinching our our core muscles, we jogged down the beach. This will help strengthen our core muscle.
Then we did balance training on the beach. Standing on one leg, one leg and one hand,
standing on objects, etc.
Doing various poses in different places will give us a well rounded balance spectrum.

Finally, we got onto the paddle board and worked on balancing.
This is of course a very challenging thing to do but we had a great time.
We had a balance battle, pair balancing,
and then we even paddled out into the ocean and practiced how to stay up while paddling.
Next time I want to spend more time on paddling and how to maneuver the SUP.

We also got a small game of UNO in at the end of class.
